South African Braai Spice
Coriander-forward, the signature of a South African braai blend. Pairs with Monkeygland Sauce. Best on beef and boerewors.
Serves 1
Ingredients
1servings
- 2 tbspground coriander
- 1 tbspkosher salt
- 1 tbsppaprika
- 2 tspblack pepper
- 1 tspbrown sugar
- 1 tspgarlic powder
- 1 tspdried thyme
- 0.3 tspground cloves
Method
1.Mix the rub
Combine and store airtight. The heavy coriander is what makes it read as South African rather than generic.
2.Apply and cook
Rub on steaks, boerewors, or lamb chops before the braai. Excellent with monkeygland sauce on the side.
